All presidents are big news, but there's no doubt Donald Trump has dominated press coverage like no other. Today he is the most accessible president in history, and also the subject of the most divided coverage — unrelenting hostility in some media quarters and 24/7 fandom in others. Trump had years of experience with old media as a New York celebrity before entering politics. Now, nearing 80, he has managed to overpower new media as well. He has changed both the presidency and the way the presidency is covered.
