Joe Posner talking to school kids in Spartanburg school

How does a neighborhood drop violent crime by 77% and launch 3rd-grade reading proficiency from 6% to 48%? DREAM ON — the new YouTube channel dedicated to optimistic explainers about how to improve social and economic mobility in America produced by Fire-Works in partnership with EdRedesign — is dropping another episode! The second episode travels to Spartanburg, South Carolina (the 3rd-fastest growing metro area in the U.S.) to visit the Northside neighborhood. Host Joe Posner learns how a unique coalition of residents, government officials, school district leaders, a local StriveTogether Cradle to Career network member, a local Purpose Built Communities backbone organization, and many others collaborated to guide one of the most inspiring neighborhood transformations in America.
