This exhibition celebrates the evolving work of Boston-based sculptor and ceramic artist Bruce Armitage, a long-time Resident Artist, Teaching Assistant, and Studio Lab Technician at the Ceramics Program, Office for the Arts at Harvard. He focuses on figurative sculpture influenced by classical traditions. Bruce is a Professional Member of the New England Sculptors Association (NESA), where he was the 2021 People’s Choice award winner, and an Elected Member of Allied Artists of America. His work has been shown at the Harvard Museum of the Ancient Near East, the Durant-Kenrick Museum, the Duxbury Art Complex Museum, and the Salmagundi Club, and is in the collections of Somerville Hospital, AC Hotel Marriott Boston Downtown and the AC Hotel Marriott Portsmouth.
