Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and global human rights advocate Nadia Murad joins Ambassador Samantha Power for a conversation on resilience, justice, and the fight to protect human rights in an increasingly turbulent world.
In 2014, Murad was abducted and held captive by ISIS after the group attacked her Yazidi community in Iraq. After escaping, she transformed her experience into a powerful global campaign against conflict-related sexual violence and for the rights of survivors and displaced communities.
Murad and Power will reflect on the enduring importance of bearing witness, demanding accountability, and defending human dignity.
