Study Group with Chris Whipple: All the President’s Men and Women ft. James Carville
Institute of Politics at Harvard Kennedy School
79 JFK St.
Cambridge
Thu., Oct. 1, 2026, 4 – 5:15 p.m.
We’ll look at the essential role played by campaign managers and top political strategists in the election of the president. If elections are battles for the soul of the nation, campaign managers and strategists are the commanders. James Carville, the renowned strategist who led Bill Clinton’s victorious presidential campaign in 1992, will discuss: Why do campaigns succeed or fail? Are campaign managers good for democracy? And what lies ahead in 2028? Will an outsider prevail in the Democratic party? Who will emerge as the Democratic nominee: a moderate centrist or a democratic socialist?
